Believers in Christ have a powerful heritage of faith. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 12:1, NIV. "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

We are to provide a heritage of values for our children. It's in the Bible, Deuteronomy 6:5-7, TLB. "You must love [God] with all your heart, soul, and might. And you must think constantly about these commandments I am giving you today. You must teach them to your children and talk about them when you are at home or out for a walk; at bedtime and the first thing in the morning."
